Description

Lake Washington parent Manka Dhingra is running for state Senate in the 45th legislative district, which includes Redmond, Kirkland, Woodinville, Duvall, and parts of Bothell. Dhingra, a Democrat, is running for the seat now held by Republican Dino Rossi.

Manka Dhingra is the proven pro-worker candidate and exactly the kind of leader we need to end the gridlock in Olympia. She will fight for health care, public schools and an economy that works for everyone.

By electing Manka Dhingra, we can return control of the state Senate to a pro-public education, pro-worker majority that will fight for kids and families. Dhingra stands with teachers, support professionals, and students, and supports:

  • Competitive and professional pay for public school employees
  • Smaller class sizes for all students
  • Collective bargaining rights

The most effective way to get our supporters to vote is for educators to knock on their doors, say a few words and give them a flyer. Manka’s campaign is holding four Education Doorbell Saturdays this fall. Volunteers will be talking to voters about why Manka is the best candidate for our students and schools.

We'll meet at 10:00 am sharp at 8151 164th Ave NE in Redmond, at Manka Dhingra's campaign headquarters just north of the Redmond business district. We'll get a few simple talking points, pair up, and head out with lists of supportive voters. If you can, bring a school colleague, family member, or friend.
